Curiosity in Session: Philosophy classes and workshops on the questions that matter
Curiosity in Session is Being and Becoming’s new educational initiative. It seeks to facilitate public access to philosophy while increasing public philosophical literacy through alternating bi-weekly (on alternate weeks to Cafés) Curiosity Classes and Philosophical Skills Workshops. Our final Philosophical Skills Workshop is taking place on Saturday, July 19th from 1-3 pm at Toronto Public Library – Parkdale Branch.
What are Philosophical Skills Workshops?
Philosophical Skills Workshops (SW) are interactive, activity-based sessions designed to help you expand your philosophical toolkit. They require no prior experience or preparation. Led by Dr. Alexandra Gustafson, attendees gain hands-on experience practicing essential philosophical skills like reconstructing a philosophical argument for greater clarity and understanding, evaluating an argument for general plausibility, and identifying argumentative fallacies
The topic of our final workshop of the summer is Thought Experiments and Counterexamples. Join us on Saturday, July 19th from 1-3 pm. To celebrate the end of our summer series, we have a special discount for our community. Use code Philosophy50 to receive 50% off!
Tickets are available through Eventbrite!
